The Golden Snitch Boardgameby ~KatjaFin

Finished my Golden Snitch board game today. I have to wait a week before I can give it to my niece and we can have a test run!

For the cover box's flying Harry I redrew an image I found online while doing a simple google image search on quidditch players.

The quidditch pitch I tweaked first in SketchUp and then in Photoshop...I used the 3d model by Vitor Bravin I found in Google Warehouse to create the views before I rendered the images.

Combined the two in Photoshop to make the cover of the box.

For the pawns I used Fimo clay...made one for each house...Harry for Gryffindor, Luna for Ravenclaw, Draco for Slytherin and Cedric for Hufflepuff. And of course I had to make Snape. Because I love Snape. And my niece loves Snape. We are going to fight over him every time we play the game :0)

For the galleons...I printed the money on this vinyl sticker and then I bought some round metal slates from the hardware store. They feel real. :0)

For the round disk-thingies...again something I bought from a store and just placed the vinyl stickers on them.

Quite happy with the result. The game is loosely based on the Finnish classic "Afrikantähti" so I knew it would work as a game.
